So shortly after I got home from vacation my friend called and invited us to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. We were excited to go. The weather was beautiful. They had alot of fun free activities for the kids and then the little cow train was a small amount. We all had a great time. Even though I have no pictures of the tulips, they were beautiful. I think they are one of my favorites. There were so many different colors and varieties. Then the next day was almost 80 degrees and so beautiful we headed up to Silver Falls with friends to bbq and play. The day ended with a great girls evening for me and a late night movie with the guys for Ben. It was a great day. The kids were exhausted. We were all sunburned. It was great! I love warm weather and weekends. It makes me excited for summer!

Picture Taking
What a task that was! How many adults does it take to tame 5 children for a 2 second picture? Apparently more than 4 because we were not extremely succesful! In the end we managed to get 2 that were average and it was only because of an ice cream bribe! What an adventure!

Vacation
So I am a slacker as usual. I remembered my camera but I forgot the battery charger so I was limited in my pictures of vacation. That does not mean that we did not have a wonderful time. Sunday there was a party for my nephew Jackson who had turned 2. It was fish themed and very fun. My sister is very good at making sure there are lots of fun things for the kids to do! The infamous pinata of steel was by far the hit of the party though. These kids if you cannnot tell from the pictures swung with every ounce of muscle they could muster and still no success. What happened to the simple pull the string pinata instead of the give the kid a bat and turn him loose. It was quite entertaining and in the end an adult was victorious and the kids were in heaven with all of the goodies!
We had a great time on vavation. Lots of yummy food, family, pampering and and playing. I was able to see my grandma and my great aunt which was wonderful. I do not get to see my grandma often enough and I sometimes forget how much I really miss her. We were all pampered by aunt Jen with getting our hair done! Where would we be without aunt Jen. It is amazing what a new hairdo and some highlights will do for your outlook on life. We had a baby shower for my sister (inlaw) and had a wonderful girls day at PF Changs and TCBY (my favorite). It was a wonderful time. The cousins all played great together and are missing each other madly now that they are apart; not to mention the spoiling by grandma and grandpa and the sad disappointment of being at home with just mom and dad who always say no!
It is good to be home to see daddy and my wonderful hubby but I could do without the joys of bills, responsibilities and everyday hum drum.
