River picnic

We had a great picnic by the Santiam River. Not much picnic-ing was done. We named our beach "underwear beach" in honor of the kids strip down. We quickly learned that Henry (not pictured for obvious reasons) had pooped his pants. He kept walking around saying "somethings stinky" and when he pulled his pants down to swim we quickly discovered what it was!!!!! Mystery solved:) Miley and Addie had a ball. Addie quickly learned how cold it was but adjusted quickly and decided she would rough it without a diaper. Miley and Addie also had a contest to see who could hold their head in the longest. We had a great weekend. We all got a little sun and a lot of dirt and many wonderful memories.

Camping Fun

Camping is a wonderful thing! There is nothing better than to be outside enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful things around us! My favorite is always the bonfires and the yummy camp food (especially the marshmallows). We went camping with some friends outside of this little town called Sweet Home, Oregon. We got there a little bit late but still had a great night. The kids slept great and there was a minimal amount of dirt eating which is always nice. We woke up the next morning and ventured out on a little hike which the kids all loved but were worn out so we stopped for a rest. Don't you love that you can never leave home without the roll of toilet paper just in case!!!!! Ben was our great and mighty tour guide showing us the lovely highway along the way. What a view! It really was a beautiful place!:)

Fathers Day

I really need to improve on my picture taking. Sunday we had a great day at church and came home and napped and then had a nice dinner. We grilled Bens favorite: rib eye steaks, grilled asparagus and ranch mashed potatoes. Then went for a bike ride on our new bikes and bike trailer and then came home for fresh strawberry milkshakes and popcorn! So I get no pictures of our fun family activities but I do of Addie being a dork. She has a slight obsession with her blankie and love to snuggle with it. She drags it around wanting to cuddle so I began wrapping her in it. These are the events that followed: Help I've fallen and I can't get up!!!!:)

Chores

So we had a somewhat typical weekend. Friday was spent in preparation for the weekend. We scrubbed so that we could spend the weekend playing with daddy! The girls always love to help so I put them on stair duty since I love it sooooo much. At first I thought I heard screaming so as I came running, this is what I saw. Addie was laughing hysterically at Miley sucking her face with the vacuum hose. What entertainment!

Free Fish Day

Saturday was free fish day. Ben and Miley woke up to a cool and rainy day but they were so excited to fish. Miley gathered her pole and rain gear and was ready to go. She looked so cute! She even wanted to wear her hat like daddy! Finally they were off. Two and a half hours, 2 cokes, and 4 hot dogs later they returned triumphant with 1 fish. Miley received a fish award for a 10 inch 1/2 pound trout. What a day! I love her face when she actually has to touch the fish! Is she a girl or what. She freaked out because she got fish blood on her hand and that was all she talked about the rest of that afternoon. But she is rarin to go again! Crazy girl!

The Beginning

Okay so here goes! I have decided that I am not a very exciting person but I have very cute girls that I love to brag about. I am also totally obsessed with reading other peoples blogs so with the coaxing of my sister(in law) I decided to start a blog of my own! My name is Wendy. I have been married 5 years. I am a stay at home mom. I have two adorable girls; Miley is 3 1/2 and Addison is 21 months. They keep me on my toes but I love it (most of the time). Ben (my husband) just graduated from University of Idaho in Forest Products/Business Management and was offered a job in Molalla, Oregon. We moved to a little town outside of Molalla called Silverton. We have been here a month and are loving it. That is all for now. As I am a beginner I will figure out the whole picture thing and get some pictures posted!
